Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
Maquan Elementary School
June 10, 2006
Present: James Armstrong, Mark Gallivan, Jesse McSweeney and James Egan. (Chris Colclough absent). Also present Town Clerk Sandra Harris and Police Officer Brian Watson
6:30 p.m. Chairman McSweeney called the meeting to order.
Item I. Call for a Special Town Meeting – The election results were read by the Town Clerk indicating that the override was defeated. Mrs. Harris explained that the Board must call for a Special Town Meeting to address the deficit in the school budget.
MOTION by Armstrong, second by Colclough that the Board call for a special Town Meeting on Monday, June 26, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hanson Middle School. Voted 4 – 0
Item II. Open Warrant -
MOTION by Armstrong, second by Colclough to open the June 26, 2006 Special Town Meeting Warrant. Voted 4 – 0
Item III. Article – The Board discussed the funding source for the article and Mrs. Harris explained the options.
MOTION by Armstrong, second by Colclough to include the following article in the June 26, 2006 Special Town Meeting Warrant:
ARTICLE 1: To see if the Town will vote to transfer a sum of money from the Stabilization Fund to the amounts appropriated in Article 5, Line 113, Whitman-Hanson Regional, of the May 1, 2006 Annual Town Meeting or take any other action in relation thereto.

Item IV. Close Warrant
MOTION: by Armstrong, second by Colclough to close the June 26, 2006 Special Town Meeting Warrant. Voted 4 – 0
MOTION by Armstrong, second by Colclough to adjourn. Voted 4 – 0
